Ex-Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez has slashed the price on his Boston penthouse to $7.9 million after six months on the market failed to attract a buyer, The Boston Herald reported Saturday.

Ramirez, now a Los Angeles Dodgers left fielder, lowered the price of his 37th-floor condo from $8.5 million.

His agent, Otis & Ahearn’s Carmela Laurella, told the Herald she’s “optimistic” about a quick sale because “it’s a magnificent apartment and the views are extraordinary."

The condo is located near the Boston Common in the Ritz-Carlton Residences. The four-bedroom condo features a wraparound private terrace, the newspaper reported.

The penthouse includes a private master-bedroom suite, six bathrooms, 10-foot ceilings and three valet parking spaces.

Boston officials assess the penthouse at $4.4 million for tax purposes - well below Ramirez’s reduced asking price.
