BOSTON -- Travelers go to Logan International Airport to take to the skies, but some of the best "travel" deals at the airport Saturday will be on the ground.NewsCenter 5's Jorge Quiroga reported that the latest batch of abandoned cars that were left at Logan are going on the auction block.Fords, Chevys, Toyotas, BMWs and even Mercedes -- 66 cars will be sold."Sometimes, they just come in and they never leave," said Jack Hemphill, of Massport. The cars are sold as is. Some cars will fetch more if they are sold for parts. Other cars have been there so long that the parking fees are more than what the car is worth. One car has been there for more than two years."It's in great shape. The body is in fantastic shape -- looks brand new. I think it would be a good sell tomorrow for someone," Hemphill saidMassport said at $24 per day, the parking spaces the cars are taking up are worth more than the vehicles' Blue Book value."We just assume get the cars out of here and get the revenue," Hemphill said.Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., and the auction is set for 11 a.m. It takes place in the Central Parking Lot at Logan.
