Some electric customers will soon see dramatic savings on their monthly bills.

NSTAR's Basic Service supply price will drop by 27 percent starting on Wednesday. The price cut will save the average NSTAR residential customer more than $17 per month, the company said Tuesday.

Meanwhile, as announced last week, supply prices for NSTAR’s natural gas customers will also drop Wednesday. This marks the second drop in natural gas prices for NSTAR customers since early May.

The average residential gas customer can expect to see an additional savings of more than $5 per month added to the roughly $35 decrease that went into effect on May 1.
