Flushing, NY -- (Sports Network) - The New York Mets released pitcher Ken Takahashi on Tuesday.

Last season he appeared in 28 games out of the bullpen and went 0-1 with a 2.96 earned run average.

He also appeared in 18 games with Triple-A Buffalo and went 1-3 with a 2.38 ERA.
