Rays Activate P Reyes From DL

POSTED: 6:53 pm EDT July 18, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Rays activated right- handed pitcher Al Reyes from the 15-day disabled list Friday.

The team originally placed Reyes on the DL on June 13 due to right shoulder tendinitis. The 38-year-old was 1-2 with a 4.02 earned-run average in 18 games before the setback.

The Rays had already made room for the reliever prior to Friday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays, having optioned Reid Brignac to Triple-A Durham on Sunday.
