  SURVEY
Have you ever gone to a wedding thinking that the couple probably won't be married very long?
Have you ever been to a wedding and thought, "Boy, this won't last"?

A new Web site lets friends and family put their bets where their cynical thoughts are. The site, WeddingBetting.com, allows people to place a bet on how long newlyweds will stay married. (Site may give an error due to high traffic.)

Pictures of the wedded pairs are displayed, with a bit of information on their history as a couple. Voters get to choose between the following options: barely past the altar, one year, five years, eight years, 15 years or happily ever after.

After people vote, the site gives a brief synopsis about the couple. For example, after voting as to whether "Thom and Emily" will stay married, the following response was given:

    Number of voters: 411

Of the people who think they will get divorced, they expect them to get divorced in 2.7 years.

Couples may also use the site to upload a wedding announcement and a link to their personal wedding Web sites.
