BOSTON -- New research reveals at least one benefit to working the night shift: a lower risk of Parkinson's disease. Researchers evaluated data from the U.S. Nurses' Health Study. They found nurses who worked at least 15 years on the night shift had a 50 percent lower risk of Parkinson's than those who never worked night shifts.
The study concluded those who slept for a longer duration had a higher risk for the disease.
