Below is a list from the American Stroke Association of some warning signs and symptoms of a stroke. Doctors say if you or a loved one experience these symptoms, call 911 immediately.

  • Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body;
  • Sudden confusion, or trouble speaking or understanding;
  • Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes;
  • Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination;
  • Early intervention is the key to reducing the chances of long-term disability and even death.
