Massachusetts is one of the leanest states in the nation, according to the new report, F as in Fat: How Obesity Policies are Failing in America.

The only state that scored better than Massachusetts was Colorado. The Bay State was a close second, though, thanks in part to its high levels of physical activity.

But the group, Trust for America's Health, that performed the study, said Massachusetts shouldn't celebrate too much. That's because the same report shows that one in every five adults in the state is obese.

The study was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

H1N1 Virus

The government warned parents against deliberately exposing their children to the H1N1 virus.

Talk of "swine flu parties" has popped up on blogs.

The idea is to expose the child to the H1N1 virus now while it's relatively mild. The logic goes that it could give them immunity if the virus returns in a more virulent form later on.

But health officials condemned the idea, saying even if the virus is mild, people still get sick and there is a risk of death.

Cocoa And Blood Pressure

From Harvard University, a new study suggests chocolate could help lower your blood pressure.

Researchers investigated a tribe of Indians from a Caribbean island off Panama who drink five cups of cocoa every day. They discovered that chocolate had a relaxing effect on blood vessels, possibly because it contains flavanoids.

They suspect the antioxidant stimulates the production of nitric oxide which increases blood flow and acts as a blood thinner.
