An Open Letter (And Bar) To Dad

Dear Dad,I can't tell you all the times I remember your being there with a Screwdriver to fix something for me. You seemed like the $6 Million Man when I was a kid. Are you sure you didn't have some sort of Bionic Drink or Magic Punch that you sipped on secretly?I will always remember you taking me to Star Wars for the umpteenth time -- again. You no doubt had your fill of Darth Vader, C3PO and the gang a long time ago, but you sat it out with me over and over because it was something you knew I loved -- even though I am sure you thought at that time I belonged to a galaxy far, far away!A few years later, there were those times you hollered at me until you were Blue In The Face to turn down the music -- be it Bob Marley or the Jackson 5. Those were my teen years, when I thought you and Mom both needed an Attitude Adjustment. Turned out, I needed one!I wish I could get you something really nice for Father's Day, like a BMW -- but truth is, I can't even afford a Broken Down Golf Cart.Dad, I know I've not always been A Day At The Beach, but I want you to know how very much you mean to me.Much love on this Father's Day and every day,Your Mona Lisa
