The villain in the next James Bond movie is being played by the Danish actor, according to Sony Pictures.

Cameras have been rolling for about three weeks on the new "Casino Royale" with Daniel Craig as Bond, but a villain wasn't announced until now.

A fan on one Internet chat site said "Mads is the sexiest man not only in Denmark, but in the whole world!"

And another said, "I'm not sure if he is the sexiest man in Denmark, but he is extremely close to it."

Sony has also announced the first Bond girl for the film -- French actress Eva Green, will play Vesper Lynd opposite Craig's 007.

"We are thrilled that Eva and Mads have joined the cast of "Casino Royale," completing a first rate international cast," said producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. "They bring exceptional talent to the characters Ian Fleming described so vividly in his first James Bond novel."

"GoldenEye" director Martin Campbell is returning to direct the latest Bond installment, and "Syriana" and "The Manchurian Candidate" star Jeffrey Wright has also joined the cast.

The film is being shot on location in the Czech Republic, the Bahamas, Italy and the U.K.

"Casino Royale" is slated for a Nov. 17.

Craig is currently starring opposite Eric Bana and Geoffrey Rush in Steven Spielberg's Oscar-nominated film "Munich."
