BOSTON -- The rain may be falling Tuesday, but it's a beautiful day for area U2 fans.
NewsCenter 5's Jim Boyd reported that the band is bringing its "Vertigo" tour to the FleetCenter for the first of three concerts. Some area fans got a chance to get up close and personal with Bono Tuesday afternoon at a book signing in the Back Bay."It was great. He held my hand," said fan Lisa Mullen.
Bono gave chills to his hands during the signing of his book. It's a book that has been three years in the making."Sometimes, there are stories to tell. I can't be silenced. I figured I have a lot of explaining to do. That's why I agreed to the book," Bono said.He has been exciting fans since 1980. Some of his fans have been loyal followers for two decades."I have been in love with U2 since I was 5. It’s almost been over two decades," fan Ayesha Naeem said."I have been close to Bono several times, and I am back again. I have a tattoo that he actually signed," fan Elissa Siegel said. "I got a kiss out of him. I am always right in his face. I'm not shy."Some fans will get to see U2 perform at the FleetCenter Tuesday night.
