Actress Anne Heche has been given a break from making spousal and child support payments to her ex-husband.

In court documents obtained by E! Online, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge suspended Heche's July payment of $14,798 to Coley Laffoon, who is caring for their son, Homer.

According to the site, Heche reported that she has about $35,000 in her accounts, but is $364,000 in debt. Still in the midst of divorce litigation, the actress' financial obligations include rent in Los Angeles and Canada, private school tuition for her son and auto expenses, the documents say.

In the court filing, Heche said, "Since Jan. 18, 2008, I have been unemployed and had no income from unemployment except for one very short term contract for a movie role for which I received a total of $65,000, approximately the amount I received for one episode of Men in Trees (which has not been renewed for a third season)."

Heche said that she's continuing to look for work, "but I have no offers pending and the impending strike by the Screen Actors Guild reduces my prospects for work even further."

Heche married Laffoon in 2001. Prior to that, the actress was in a relationship with comedian Ellen DeGeneres.
