The stars were out in Boston Monday night, as Hollywood star Ben Affleck put his hometown back up on the big screen for the premiere of his new film, "Gone Baby Gone."

Affleck was raised in Cambridge, and the movie is set in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood and was filmed around the city over the summer.

The film also marks Affleck's debut as a director. His wife, actress Jennifer Garner, as well as his boyhood pal from the city, actor Matt Damon, were also on hand for the screening, as well as many of the movie's other stars.

The film is based on a Dennis Lehane novel about the disappearance of a 4-year-old girl and the impact of the investigation of the case on two detectives. It is set to open nationwide later this week.
