This week, it's back to pay-per-view predictions, as we take a look at WWE's "Backlash" show, live from Atlanta Sunday night.

Here's what happened:

WWE Women's Championship: Melina (c) vs. Mickie James
What Should Happen: Well, at least these two can wrestle. A bit. I'd keep the belt on the heel, Melina. She has a more interesting personality. Did I just say that? It's time for the straightjacket.

What Will Happen: Melina wins cleanly in a classic 35-minute tilt. Better yet, make it 3.5 minutes.

What Did Happen: Melina won in nine minutes. I'll take it.

U.S. Championship: Chris Benoit (c) vs. MVP
What Should Happen: I'm not too high on this MVP character, but WWE continues to give him a considerable push. Since Benoit won at WM23, I'd give MVP a shot at some gold to see how he handles it. This belt is beneath Benoit, so you might as well have someone else hold it.

What Will Happen: MVP will win.

What Did Happen: Benoit got the pin for the win.

World Tag Team Title Match: The Hardys (c) vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch
What Should Happen: It's too bad WWE kind of dropped the ball with the Murdoch/Cade team. They may not be great in the ring, but they're colorful heels in an old school way – especially the pudgy brawler Murdoch. He's one you love to hate. Maybe this match can get them in the spotlight again. As for the Hardys, it's nice to see them together again as champions. Individually, I guess I really never cared for Matt or Jeff, but together, they're an old breath of fresh air. As for this match, I'd keep the belts on the champs, but I'd let the heels come close. This could be an interesting feud.

What Will Happen: The Hardys will retain their belts.

What Did Happen: The Hardys got the win after Matt pinned Murdoch.

Last Man Standing World Heavyweight Championship Match: Undertaker (c) vs. Batista
What Should Happen: These two had a fine match at WM23, and there's no reason they can't do it again. Should UT lose the title back so quickly, though? I don't think so. Batista should chase him until "SummerSlam."

What Will Happen: Undertaker will be the last man standing.

What Did Happen: Undertaker kept his belt after neither man could answer a 10-count.

ECW Title Match: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Umaga, Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon
What Should Happen: Lashley faces a monster and two dorks in this three-on-one handicap match. If I'm writing this script, it's time for Umaga to win the gold and give Lashley someone legitimate to battle in ECW.

What Will Happen: Lashley pounds on the McMahons, but ultimately loses the prize to Umaga.

What Did Happen: Lashley lost his belt after he was pinned by the new ECW champ -- Vince McMahon.

WWE Championship Match: John Cena (c) vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton
What Should Happen: While I'd prefer a Michaels/Cena WM 23 rematch, having Edge and Orton in the mix isn't so bad. What should happen? It's time to give Michaels another well-deserved run with the title. He is the true MVP of this promotion right now.

What Will Happen: Cena's had the title long enough. It's time for a change. HBK will win.

What Did Happen: HBK hit Cena with a kick to the face, and Cena fell on Orton. The ref counted Cena the winner, with Michaels -- who should have won -- the odd man out. Great finish.

So that's it. For the record, I had four right (I'm taking the McMahon victory because what really mattered there was that Lashley lost), and two wrong. Once again, I am the man when it comes to this forecasting fun.
