There's an e-mail circulating the country that has a lot of cell phone users concerned.

NewsCenter 5's Susan Wornick reported Thursday that it says that cell phone numbers are about to be released to telemarketers nationally.

The e-mail warns you to get your cell phone number listed in the national Do Not Call Registry The e-mail even offers a toll-free number to call.

This e-mail is only partially true. While it is a good idea to have all of your telephone numbers listed on the registry, it is not true that cell phone numbers are about to be released nationally.

If you get the e-mail in question, use it as a reminder to register your cell phone, but don't worry about it, and don't pass it on to your friends and family.
