Every child deserves to live as we wish our own children to live.
This is what drives the staff and board of the Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps; it is also the very concept stated in 1965 by Senator Robert F. Kennedy, for whom this agency was named: "Justice, dignity, equality- these are words which are often used loosely, with little appreciation of their meaning. I think that their meaning can be distilled into one goal: that every child in this country live as we would want our own children to live." Inspired by the life of the late Senator, a group of private citizens sought to perpetuate the social values he exemplified during his lifetime. They sought to honor him not with words or statues, but deeds - action leading to change and founded the organization in June of 1969.
Now 37 years later, the Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps continues the commitment to caring for children who face some of life's greatest challenges. Through residential counseling, therapy, and a solid educational program, we help hundreds of at-risk children every year. Our residential, educational and community-based programs provide a safe haven for hundreds of children who come from unstable, often unsafe, home environments. Children in our care grow, heal, and learn giving them the skills and esteem to thrive in life.
The Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps is thrilled to be the charity partner of the 2008 Concept Home. Proceeds from the tours of the home will directly benefit the children in our 18 programs in 10 communities across Massachusetts. Take a tour of the 2008 Concept Home with your friends and family; this beautiful custom home is a great way to see the latest in top-of-the-line products and materials while benefiting children all around the state.
