The evening also includes music, food and family festivities. There are currently over 894,000 Americans battling leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. During the Light The Night Walk, family, friends and teams of co-workers walk together in twilight holding illuminated balloons, drawing attention to the critical need to find cures and provide families with ongoing care and support. White balloons represent survivors, red balloons represent supporters and gold balloons represent those “in memory.”“There are so many people who need our help,” said Sharon Klein, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Chapter. “We are grateful to the volunteers who are lending their support this year, and hope that others will join us to make this year’s Walk a success.”To volunteer or for more information about Light The Night, contact Corie Hoffberger at the Massachusetts Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at 1-508-810-1317 or register online at www.lightthenight.org/ma.
