NCAA Game Summary - Jacksonville At Albany

POSTED: 2:31 am EST December 7, 2008

(Sports Network) - David McCarty rushed for a career-high 271 yards and four touchdowns en route to earning the MVP award in the third annual Gridiron Classic, as the Albany Great Danes dominated the Jacksonville Dolphins, 28-0.

The exempted postseason game featured the champion of the Northeast Conference -- Albany -- against the Pioneer Football League winner -- Jacksonville.

McCarty scored on a 16-yard run on Albany's first drive of the game, but they were the only points scored until the running back scored from the goal line with 4:19 left in the third.

Another TD run preceded his 77-yard clincher midway through the fourth, as Albany (9-3) made up for its loss in the Classic last season to Dayton.

Josh McGregor passed for 113 yards on 10-of-25 throws with an interception for Jacksonville (9-4), which was outgained 456-228 in the lopsided decision.
