NCAA Game Summary - UL-Monroe At North Texas

(Sports Network) - Frank Goodin rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns as the UL-Monroe Warhawks posted a 33-6 victory over the North Texas Mean Green in Sun Belt Conference play at Fouts Field.

Trey Revell threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns for ULM (5-4, 4-1 SBC), while LaGregory Sapp hauled in both touchdown passes and finished the game with 187 yards on seven receptions.

As for the Mean Green (2-7, 1-4), quarterback Riley Dodge had a horrendous showing, throwing for just 189 yards, while tossing three interceptions in the loss.

The Warhawks struck first in this matchup, as Goodin plunged into the end zone from the one-yard line. However, the extra point was missed, leaving the score at 6-0.

Jeremy Knott got the Mean Green on the scoreboard late in the opening quarter with a 30-yard field goal.

ULM pushed its lead to 9-3 midway through the second stanza when Radi Jabour nailed a 43-yard field goal.

With just over four minutes remaining in the first half Revell connected with Sapp for a 12-yard touchdown pass, extending the Warhawks lead to 16-3.

Revell and Sapp hooked up again midway through the third quarter, as the signal caller hit the wideout for an eight-yard scoring strike.

The Mean Green cut their deficit to 17 points with just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter when Knott nailed a 36-yard field goal.

However, the Warhawks responded with a field goal of their own, as Jabour connected on a 43-yard kick.

UL-Monroe put the game out of reach late in the final frame when Goodin scored on a 25-yard touchdown run, pushing the Warhawks advantage to 33-6.
