NCAA Game Summary - Boston College At Wake Forest

Winston-Salem, NC -- (Sports Network) - Dominique Davis threw for 103 yards and ran for the go-ahead score to lead the Boston College Eagles to a 24-21 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in an ACC tilt at BB&T Field. Josh Haden gained 77 yards on 17 carries in the Boston College (8-3, 4-3 ACC) win. Riley Skinner threw for 126 yards with a touchdown and two costly interceptions in the Wake Forest (6-5, 4-4) loss. A 32-yard Steve Aponavicius field goal midway through the opening quarter gave Boston College a 3-0 lead. The Eagles added a 30-yard Aponavicius kick early in the second period. The Eagles took a 13-0 lead less than a minute later with a 34-yard interception return by Mark Herzlich. Wake Forest got on the board late in the frame following a 15-yard fumble return by Kevin Patterson. Boston College would take a 16-7 lead into the break after a 30-yard Aponavicius kick. The Demon Deacons would find the end zone early in the third quarter with a two-yard fumble return by Kyle Wilber. Wake Forest took a 21-16 lead early in the final period of play with a one- yard toss from Riley Skinner to Rich Belton. Boston College regained its lead with just over a minute to play, capturing a three-point win with a one-yard plunge by Davis and a two-point conversion run by Montel Harris.
