DeKalb, IL -- (Sports Network) - Ricky Dobbs rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown to lead the Navy Midshipmen to a 16-0 victory over the Northern Illinois Huskies in a non-conference battle at Huskie Stadium.

Eric Kettani added 72 yards and one touchdown for Navy (7-4), while Greg Shinego chipped in with 39 rushing yards.

Chandler Harnish threw for just 100 yards in the loss for NIU (6-6), and was also intercepted twice. Ricky Crider paced the ground game with 50 yards on 11 carries.

After a scoreless first quarter the Midshipmen took a 3-0 advantage early in the second stanza with a 27-yard field goal by Matt Harmon.

Midway through the second frame Navy pushed its lead to 9-0, thanks to a one- yard touchdown plunge by Dobbs.

Kettani's one yard touchdown plunge late in the third quarter pushed Navy's lead to 16-0. That would be all the scoring the Midshipmen would need as the defense did the rest, holding NIU off the scoreboard throughout the contest.
