Providence Grants Contract To Davis, Extension To Driscoll

Providence, RI -- (Sports Network) - Providence College on Tuesday granted a new contract to head coach Keno Davis and a contract extension to athletic director Bob Driscoll.Both men are now signed through the 2015-16 season. "With Keno's coaching and recruiting skills and Bob's leadership, I believe our athletic department is as strong as ever," said school president Rev. Brian Shanley. "I felt it was necessary to make a long-term commitment to Keno and Bob to ensure the success of the athletic department, including our flagship program, men's basketball." Davis led the Friars to a 19-14 record, including a 10-8 mark and seventh- place finish in the Big East in 2008-09, his first season at the helm. Driscoll is entering his ninth year with the school, and has overseen massive athletic facility improvements.
