NCAA Game Summary - Sacramento State At Oregon State

POSTED: 7:14 pm EST November 21, 2009

(Sports Network) - Sultan Toles-Bey led all scorers with 17 points, and the Sacramento State Hornets held on for a 65-63 win over the Oregon State Beavers in a non-league matchup at Gill Coliseum.

Justin Eller added 12 points and Antonio Flaggs scored 10 for the Hornets (3-2), who have already eclipsed their win total from last season.

Seth Tarver paced Oregon State (1-3) with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Calvin Haynes chipped in with 11 points, though he shot just 3-of-12 and also committed a game-high six turnovers.

Sacramento State came out and buried 9-of-15 three-pointers in the first half to take a commanding 44-22 lead at the break.

The Hornets cooled off and shot only 7-of-23 from the field in the second stanza, which opened the door for OSU to come back and eventually tie the score at 60-60 with 2:25 to play. But the Hornets hit their foul shots down the stretch and came up with one final defensive stand in the closing seconds.

OSU had won all five previous meetings in the all-time series.
