El Paso, TX -- (Sports Network) - Stefon Jackson poured in 26 points to power the Texas-El Paso Miners to a 75-66 decision over the Northeastern Huskies in the CBI quarterfinal round.

Randy Culpepper posted 21 points for Texas-El Paso (21-12), which advances to the semifinal round. Arnett Moultrie added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Miners, while Gabriel McCulley had 10 points.

Chaisson Allen scored 26 points in the disappointing loss for Northeastern (19-13), which got 16 points from Matt Janning and 13 points from Nkem Ojougbon.

Texas-El Paso led 35-27 at intermission and finished the game with a 14-1 advantage in points from the foul line.

This game marked the first-ever meeting between UTEP and Northeastern on the hardwood.
