Daytona Beach, FL -- (Sports Network) - Tracy Smith scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the NC State Wolfpack to a 66-59 victory over the Austin Peay Governors as part of the Glenn Wilkes Classic at the Ocean Center.

Dennis Horner added 15 points in the win for NC State (3-0), while Scott Wood checked in with 10 points for the Wolfpack.

Anthony Campbell tallied 14 points to lead Austin Peay (1-3) in the losing effort, while Wesley Channels netted 12 points.

The Governors shot at a lackluster 35.0 percent clip from the floor during the opening period of play, allowing NC State to take a commanding 37-21 halftime lead.

In the second half, the Wolfpack endured a few late rallies from an Austin Peay squad that shot at a blistering 58.6 percent over the final 20 minutes.

The Governors converted just 9-for-18 from the foul line and 2-of-7 from long range in the loss.
