NCAA Game Summary - Cornell At Massachusetts

(Sports Network) - Louis Dale tied a career-high with 24 points, as the Cornell Big Red pulled away for a 74-61 win over the Massachusetts Minutemen as part of the Legends Classic at the Mullins Center.

Geoff Reeves scored 16 off the bench for Cornell (2-0), while Jeff Foote chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds in the win.

Ricky Harris paced UMass (0-2) with a game-high 26 points. He was joined in double figures by Anthony Gurley, who scored 13 off the bench.

Cornell grabbed a 33-28 halftime lead after holding UMass to 34.6-percent shooting from the floor in the opening half.

After shooting 11-of-13 from the foul line in the first half, the Big Red knocked down another 11-of-13 free throws in the second stanza to pull away.

UMass shot just 36.7 percent from the floor for the game.
