Cambridge, MA -- (Sports Network) - Brown set a school record for wins in a season, as Damon Huffman's 19 points paced the Bears to a 78-62 victory over the Harvard Crimson in Ivy League action at Lavietes Pavilion. Brown (18-9, 10-3 Ivy) broke a school record with its 18th victory of the season, as the team has now won nine of its last 10 games. Peter Sullivan added 18 points, and sharpshooter Mark McAndrew dropped in 13 points and four assists. Chris Skrelja rounded out the top scorers with 10 points and five assists, and Scott Friske posted an all-around effort with eight points, 11 rebounds and six dimes. Evan Harris topped the Crimson (8-21, 3-10) with 16 points and seven rebounds, but it was not enough to stop Harvard's tenth loss in its last 12 games. Andrew Pusar was the only other player tallying double-digits with 10 points, and Jeremy Lin logged nine points, seven assists and seven boards. Brown jumped out to a 13-point lead early in the first half, as its 62.5 percent shooting from the field catapulted the Bears to a 39-31 lead at the midway point. Harvard made a game of it in the second half, trailing by just two points with just over 10 minutes left in regulation. The Bears responded with a 21-6 run to control the action and drained all nine of their second half free throws to come away with 16-point conquest. The Bears could hardly miss all game, connecting on 60.9 percent from the floor and 10-of-19 from behind the arc while only turning the ball over eight times in the monumental victory.
