NCAA Game Summary - Seton Hall At Cornell

(Sports Network) - Jeremy Hazell posted a game-high 33 points to lead the Seton Hall Pirates to an 89-79 victory over the Cornell Big Red in a non-conference tilt at Newman Arena.

Jordan Theodore added 20 points in the win for Seton Hall (3-0), while Robert Mitchell scored 14 points and pulled in 10 rebounds. Herb Pope got into the mix as well for the Pirates, also notching a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards.

Ryan Wittman scored 24 points to lead Cornell (2-1), which had its 21-game home winning streak snapped. Chris Wroblewski finished with 22 points in the setback. Adam Wire chipped in 11 points off the bench for the Big Red, and Jeff Foote grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Big Red went into the break trailing, 40-35, despite shooting at a 52.0 percent clip from the floor during the opening frame.

The Pirates managed just 41.9 percent of their attempts from the field during the second half, but went 20-of-30 at the foul line to secure the 10-point win.

Seton Hall won the battle on the boards, 43-36, and held a 24-12 advantage in free-throw points.
