NCAA Game Summary - Canisius At Loyola-Chicago

Chicago, IL -- (Sports Network) - Geoff McCammon poured in 22 points to help the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers cruise to an 89-69 victory over the Canisius Golden Griffins in a non-conference clash. Walt Gibler added 17 points for Loyola-Chicago (1-1), which got 14 points from Marcus Thomas. Ben Averkamp (12 points) and Andy Polka (11 points) rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Ramblers, while Courtney Stanley finished with 12 assists against only one turnovers. Julius Coles scored 18 points in defeat for Canisius (0-1), while teammates Frank Turner (17 points) and Greg Logins (11 points) were fairly productive as well. The score was tied at 10-10 early on, but Loyola-Chicago scored 12 of the next 17 points en route to a 46-35 lead at intermission. A 13-of-16 effort from the foul line over the final 20 minutes helped the Ramblers seal the victory. Loyola shot 11-of-18 from three-point range and forced 22 turnovers, two obvious keys to victory.
