NCAA Game Summary - Bowling Green At Iowa

(Sports Network) - Eric May came off the bench to tally a game- high 16 points to lead the Iowa Hawkeyes to a 68-46 win over the Bowling Green Falcons in non-conference play at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Hawkeyes (1-2) were Matt Gatens with 14 points and Anthony Tucker 13 to go along with his game-high nine assists.

The Falcons (1-2) were paced by Marc Larson, the lone double-digit scorer for the group with his 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor.

BGSU made good on only nine field goals in the first half and failed to make it to the free-throw line a single time, allowing the home team to post a 33-20 lead at the break.

In the second half Iowa made good on 52.4 percent from the field and converted 6-of-9 beyond the arc, en route to the 22-point win.

The Hawkeyes finished the night shooting 12-of-25 out on the perimeter, compared to 5-of-15 for the visitors.
