POSTED: 4:16 pm EST February 21, 2009

(Sports Network) - John Holland led all scorers with 24 points, as the Boston University Terriers downed the Iona Gaels, 63-57, in a BracketBuster game that took place at Case Gym.

Jake O'Brien tallied 17 points and three blocked shots for the Terriers (15-12) in the victory. Jeff Pelage came up just short of double-double, scoring nine points and pulling down eight rebounds.

Gary Springer and Milan Prodanovic both recorded 12 points for Iona (12-16) in the loss. Rashon Dwight dished off eight assists and picked up four steals, all while adding nine points of his own.

Boston University led 30-26 at the break, connecting for 7-of-14 from three- point range in the first half.

Iona tried to mount a comeback in the second half, but the Terriers made 54.5 percent of their field goals, sealing the six-point win.

The Terrier defense came up big at the end of the game, limiting the Gael's offense. Iona did not score a field goal in the last six minutes of the game.
