NCAA Game Summary - Eastern Michigan At Ball State

Muncie, IN -- (Sports Network) - Brandon Bowdry tallied 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Eastern Michigan Eagles to a 55-53 overtime victory against the Ball State Cardinals in Mid-American Conference action at Worthen Arena. The Eagles (8-23, 6-10 MAC) also received 11 points and nine rebounds from Justin Dobbins, while Antonio Green chipped in with 10 points. BSU (13-16, 7-9) was paced by Rob Giles who scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a losing effort. Laron Frazier also got involved, netting 10 points for the Cardinals. Despite shooting just 9-of-23 from the floor in the first half, the Cardinals still managed to take a 23-19 lead at the break. EMU fought its way back in the second stanza, shooting 39.1 percent from the floor, to send the game into overtime tied at 41-41 The Eagles took control of the game in the overtime period, shooting 66.7 percent from the field, including two three-pointers, on their way to a two- point victory. EMU was tenacious on defense, limiting the Cardinals to just 35.8 percent shooting on the day.
