Tucson, AZ -- (Sports Network) - Arizona point guard Nic Wise declared himself eligible for the 2009 NBA draft on Thursday.

Wise, a junior, has left open the possibility that he will return to the Wildcats for his senior season.

"It's always been my dream to play in the NBA," said Wise. "I feel like I need to take the next step and get some feedback on my game. This will only help me become a better basketball player."

The 5-foot-10 Houston, Texas native averaged 15.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game in 35 appearances this past season.

Over three seasons in Arizona he has averaged 10.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 84 career games (46 starts).
