BOSTON, Mass. -- It’s no surprise that the five-star Boston Harbor Hotel was rated one of the best overall hotels in Boston by a travel Web site, but it may come as a surprise to find which hotels are listed as the best bargains in the Bay State.The SeaCoast Inn in Hyannis was rated the best bargain hotel in the United States, while the Constitution Inn in Charlestown, Holiday Inn Express Boston and Doubletree Club Boston Bayside were awarded the top three bargain hotels in Boston.The awards for the best and dirtiest hotels in Boston were announced on Tuesday by www.tripadvisor.com., the world’s largest online travel community.TripAdvisor spokesman Brooke Ferencsik said the awards are based on the more than 20 million reviews the Web site has garnered from travelers.“This year we put greater emphasis on value of the hotels,” he said. “People are more interested than ever in saving.”Jurys Boston Hotel located in the Back Bay and Hotel Commonwealth in Kenmore Square joined the Boston Harbor Hotel on the TripAdvisor list for the best overall hotels in Boston.Ferencsik said the dirtiest hotel ratings were based on traveler ratings for cleanliness only.Abercrombie’s Farrington Inn, the Milner Hotel and the Ramada Inn Boston were listed as the dirtiest hotels in Boston.
