2007 BOSTON -- Extreme Makeover: My Hometown, WCVB-TV/DT Channel 5's local version of the ABC Sunday night hit, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," will embark on its ninth renovation project at the Crittenton Women's Union in Brighton.Crittenton Women's Union offers a number of services to support women and children in need of emergency and transitional housing as well as permanent housing searches. Sixty-two families live at Crittenton for up to two years. In addition to providing safe and supportive living environments, they offer intensive case management services to assist each family transform their lives and develop the skills they need to move toward long-term sufficiency.The NewsCenter 5 team of anchors and reporters will lead the refurbishment efforts of the home's common living space.
